Load cell pedals explained

RaceSpot editorial · Introductory edition · Updated 13 September 2026

A load cell measures force applied to the pedal. This can make braking feel different from a pedal that primarily measures travel. A stable mounting position helps you repeat an input.

Practise consistency

Choose a visible braking marker and repeat your approach speed. Work on releasing the brake progressively before trying to move the braking point later.

Your next step

Explore the venue finder and driver portal to understand the planned experience. Example venues, laps and sessions are labelled throughout the site. Confirmed opening details will be published as the network launches.

This introductory article will be expanded with reviewed venue examples and named contributors before the full editorial launch.
